Online money lending was first introduced by The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) on 13th November 2020. The two main factors of having online money lending is due to the increase in demand from the members of the public to acquire financial aids from the credit community, and secondly, the government's initiative to exploit the emergence of the 4.0 industrial revolution that makes the most of the latest digital technology with facilities at your fingertips and all online transaction using computers and smartphone systems as well as high bandwidth capabilities.
We refer to our online money lending system as "OPL System" which complies with the guideline provided by the (KPKT) and built based on the best practices in line with the national banking industry technologies such as OTP (one-time-password), e-KYC (e- Know Your Customer) to verify the identity of the borrower, digital certificate issued by the Licensed Certification Authority (CA) recognized by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), attestation, submission of loan agreement, stamp duty, security of the agreement, and data protection by gaining access onto the OPL platform.
OPL is a platform for customer to apply loan, attestation, sign agreement and get disbursement without having to personally walk into our premises. It is convenient and time-efficient for our customers. Kindly refer below for more information.
